Application:

Offshore instrumentation cables are used for electrical signal transmission on Drilling ships & drilling platforms (Jack up, Semi-submersible), Production Platforms (TLP, Semi-submersible, SPAR, Fixed platforms) and FPSO/FSO. These cables are vital in offshore platforms and ships, in order to control and drive sensors, valves, measurements devices, alarm systems. Type S4/S8 BFOU(c) cables are collective screened pairs/triples, fire resistant, halogen-free and mud resistant.

Standard: NEK 606 : 2009

Construction Diagram:

1.Conductor		Circular tinned stranded copper (0.75)(1.5)or(2.5)mm2 in accordance with IEC 60228.
2.Insulation		Mica glass tape and Ethylene Propylene Rubber(EPR)
3.Twisting,cabling		Color coded cores twisted pairs/triples.Pairs/triples are layed up collectively
		screened by copper backed polyester tape with tinned copper drain wire.
4.Inner covering		Halogen-free flame retardant compound
5.Braid armour		Tinned copper wire braid in accordance with IEC 60092-350.
6.Outer sheath		Halogen-free thermoset compound in accordance with type SHF2.
